The ELF is your Primary Care Physician

 

The ELF is your Primary Care Physician – and as such, The ELF offers you HEALING MODALITY OPTIONS – or – your own personal, internal HMO.  If you ask, The ELF will refer you to whatever healing modality you are able to believe will work for you because The ELF knows it is your belief system that is causing your illness and it is also your belief system that can and will heal you.

If you nick your finger, or bruise your leg, have a hangnail or a common cold or get a sunburn – you expect that, given enough time, your body will heal all by itself.  You may apply some simple salve to make you feel better or a bandage to keep the wounded area clean or stable, but once you’ve completed immediate first aid treatment – you simply trust that a complete healing will occur.  Your HMO – HEALING MODALITY OPTION  - in that case is faith.  You have faith in The ELF – The Eternal Life Force that flows through you and sustains you -  to take care of the healing for you.

But for some other bodily malfunctions – your Faith may be placed elsewhere.  Maybe you put our Faith in some sort of herbal cure.  You may religiously take St. John’s Wart for your depression, or Lutine for your eyesight, or Vitamin C to ward off bruising – we all have our favorites.  Now your HEALING MODALITY OPTION rests in the power herbs to cure whatever is wrong with you and to the degree that you believe that they will – they will.

For emotional upsets, some form of  Energy Management may be your favorite HEALING MODALITY OPTION.  Massage, Reiki, Acupuncture, Hypnosis, Chiropractic Medicine, Neuro Linguistic Programming, Psych-K and EFT to name just a few Energy Management processes, will work very well for you – as long as you are able to believe they will.

And then if something that you call really “serious” happens; if your body malfunctions in some way that your present belief system tells you cannot be healed internally or externally with what you consider to be competent help, most people shift their faith to Allopathic medical procedures.   That is medicine or surgery prescribed or performed by a medical practitioner with an acceptable credential or degree – and according to your belief system – that practitioner’s degree is what is required to bring about your healing.

Any or all of those HEALING MODALITY OPTIONS will work equally well to heal any part of your mind, body or Spirit – to the degree that you believe that they will.  And frankly, The ELF – THE ETERNAL LIFE FORCE that designed you in Its own image and likeness – doesn’t care which one you choose.  The ELF only wants what you want and generally, that is to be returned to your natural state of wellness. 

Simply ask and the ELF, acting as your Primary Care Physician who keeps all of the HEALING MODE OPTIONS on call – will guide you to the best kind of care you will allow – the type of care you are able and willing to believe will cause your body to be healed.  That is –  PROVIDING YOU WANT TO BE HEALED.

So why on earth might you NOT want to be healed?

You Are A Limitless Being

Keep in mind that The ELF in YoursELF has always been with you and always will be, on all planes of existence.  It is the Eternal Life Force that is currently expressing as you in human form – yoursELF is The ELF with skin on it.   Anything you have ever done or would ever like to do, you can do at a much higher level of achievement when you are tuned into The ELF in YoursELF.  

The Elf will always remind you that you are a limitless being.  So what would you like to do with excellence?  Play a sport, cook a gourmet meal, earn a six-figure salary, play bridge? 

 All things are possible with the help of THE ELF.

How to “Go To ELF!”

In order for The ELF,  ( The Eternal Life Force – that lies within YoursELF), to be able to guide you,  you must first open up the path of communication between your conscious mind and your Spiritual center.

Here is a simple way to do that, when you don’t have time for a full period of meditation. Locate your sternum bone – It is that bony plate that protects your thymus gland. At the base of our throat, you will feel a little curved bone. Put your middle finger on that bone and then move it down an inch and a half or two inches until you locate the sternum bone.

Then tap on that sternum bone and call forth, in your mind, the image of The ELF – the energy of God that runs through your entire body. Say, silently or out loud: ELF – I ASK, I SEEK, I KNOCK AND I KNOW THAT YOU HEAR ME NOW.

It’s really important that you grasp the concept, as you begin communicating with The ELF, that you are not calling for The ELF to come forth when you knock – as if the Eternal Life Force were a little Jack-in-the-Box that will pop us whenever you send for it. What you are doing when you knock gently on the sternum bone (the opening to your heart space) is calling forth YOUR OWN AWARENESS of The ELF that lies within YoursELF. You are AWAKENING your conscious mind to its connection to the Source of instant, constant, abundant Spiritual Supply that lies beneath your visible sELF.

Next – breathe deeply. As you breathe in and out – acknowledge that The Energy of God can be always be found in your breath. Feeling the natural ebb and flow of your breath will allow you to literally “step inside of yourself”, detach from your human distractions and sink into your Spiritual essence. Focusing on your breath and relaxing into it, helps you to remember that The ELF inside your skin is always working to make your life wonderful – among other things, it is consistently breathing for you, beating your heart, flowing your blood and operating all of your bodily functions.

When you get used to this process of communicating with The ELF – 1) Finding the sternum bone and tapping gently on it 2) Asking, Seeking an Knocking and stating your need or desire to The ELF 3) Relaxing into your breath 4) And then waiting patiently for your answer to be revealed, You will become practiced in communicating with Spirit in literally an instant.

But I urge you to be patient with yourself until you begin to feel that true connection. You’ve very probably been completely out of touch with this intimate part of you for most of your lifetime – so you will need to repeat this exercise over and over and over and over until communication between you and The ELF in YoursELF becomes so automatic to you that you can just touch the sternum bone and feel instantly in touch with your Source.

The Tao Te Ching says — “If you become whole, everything will come to you.”

 ”Whole” means the whole of you – your human nature and your Spiritual Nature or The ELF in YoursELF. It takes both your human nature AND your Spiritual Nature, working together, for you to feel your wholeness.

A great time and place to practice getting to know The ELF in YourSELF using this method is when you are in bed – the last thing at night and first thing in the morning. I suggest that before you go to sleep tonight – you tap on your sternum bone and Ask, Seek and Knock. Tell The ELF that you would like to sleep soundly all night and to awaken refreshed and joyful in the morning. Then take a few minutes to express your Gratefulness to The ELF for the blessings of your day.

Tomorrow morning, as soon as you wake up, ask The ELF to provide you with the kind of day you can look forward to – full of happy surprises – and then take a minute to thank The ELF for you peaceful night’s sleep.

The more often you perform that little ritual each night and each morning – the more peaceful nights and joyful days you will draw into your life experience.

Teaching YoursELF to communicate with The ELF on a very regular basis may take you a little time.  Like any new habit you are trying to develop – it will take some starts and stops to get into the habit of talking to The ELF about the important things in your life.

The asking part is easy – it’s the Trusting part that is a little harder.  But as you begin to acknowledge that you are getting guidance and you are receiving clear answers to your questions, you will find that living as The ELF in YoursELF, will get easier and the outcomes infinitely better.

The ELF serves you in many ways, but one of the most delightful is as your personal GPS – or God’s Positioning System.

The formula for getting to where you want to go is:

State your goal and ask to be shown a clear path to it.  That is all that you do on your own.  The ELF then hears your request and it chooses when, where and how to bring your request into manifestation.

But you have to Trust the ELF – “Thank You ELF, I’d rather do it my self, doesn’t work. Real progress is only made when you allow the ELF in YoursELF to take care of the when, where and how.

Imagine, for example that you, the little self, are in the front seat of a tandem bicycle – and the ELF in YoursELF is in the back seat.  You are steering the bike, you are deciding where you want to go, and the ELF is sitting behind you, wearing a hard hat with a beam of light coming off of it, giving you gentle instructions and lighting your path as you head toward your goal.  “Turn here, watch out for that rut, there’s a bump up ahead, pot hole in front of you, now turn left at the next crossroad – if you’re tuned in, the ELF will guide you every step of the way with very few interruptions.

If you don’t listen, you will still get where you want to go – probably – but it will take a lot more time, you will spend much of your time lost and you will suffer more bruises during the trip.

The ETERNAL LIFE FORCE exists for the sole purpose of making your human experience as easy and as much fun as possible.  And you can NEVER get lost enough that The ELF can’t find you and get you out of your mess – if you will simply learn to Trust The ELF in YoursELF.  

Just try it – you’re going to love learning to read your internal G.P.S.  System. 

And Always Remember, The ELF loves you and so do I!

You Are Something Like An Iceberg

Here is still another way to better understand The ELF in YoursELF.   Consider this:

 

You are something like an iceberg and The ELF – The Eternal Life Force - is something like the ocean. A part of the iceberg, that part which is above the waterline, is visible – just like you are visible in human form.  A much larger part of the iceberg, however, remains invisible, beneath the water – just like you are invisible in Spirit Form.  The waterline gives the appearance that there is a separation between the visible part of the iceberg and the invisible part below the water, but there is not.  It is all one iceberg.

 

And all of the iceberg, the part that is visible and the part that is invisible is made up of frozen salt water, the same stuff that the ocean is made up of. The iceberg then, is the whole of the ocean expressing, in part, as an individual iceberg. And you in human form (visible) and you Spirit form (invisible) are all of The Eternal Life Force expressing, in part, as you.

 

Take a few minutes now to really grasp this concept:  

The iceberg isn’t all of the ocean, but the ocean is all of the iceberg.   

You are not all of The ELF, but The ELF is all of you.  That’s why we call it The ELF in YoursELF.

 

You have, within you, all of the Power of the Universe and you can access it any time.  The trick is to remember that you can do it – all of the time. 

 

So be kind to YoursELF.  Take some quiet time to access this powerful Force.  You will never feel more loved than when you are in absolute communion with The ELF in YoursELF. 

The Emerging ELF

 

 

Ever since you were born, The ELF (The Eternal Life Force) in YoursELF – the energy of God that lies within you, has been gently nudging you to be everything you ever wanted to be.  You didn’t come here to this giant playground called Earth without intending to have all the fun there is to have and to bring all of the joy you came to bring with you.

 

The Spiritual teachers called Abraham, explain it this way:

“You are joy, looking for a way to express. It’s not just that your purpose is joy.  It is that you are joy. You are love and joy and freedom and clarity expressing. Energy—frolicking and eager—that’s who you are. And so, if you’re always reaching for alignment with that, you’re always on your path, and your path will take you into all kinds of places. We will not deny that you will not discover miracles and create benefits and be involved in creation, and that you will not uplift humanity…we will not say that you will not find satisfaction in so many things that you create, but we can’t get away from the acknowledgment that you are Pure Positive Energy that translates into the human emotion of joy.”

 

You experienced that absolute joy when you were a baby.  And even though it may have been “squashed down” by your life experience, it is still in you and The ELF in YoursELF is doing its best to help that real joy break through again.

 

Very recently, The ELF has sent an example to the whole world of what can happen when someone releases her self-imposed limitations and lets her innate sense of joy – fly.

That same level of talent lies within you – dormant perhaps – but very much alive and wanting to express.  To understand what that talent might be – allow your mind to graze back to your childhood –  to those magical times when you felt absolutely free to express yourself without worrying about what anyone else thought of you. 

 

Did you dance as if you were a prima ballerina?  Did you hit home run after home run over the fence?  Were you a hero – super or otherwise?   Were you fascinated with bugs?  Did you LOVE giving tea parties?   Was “dress up” your favorite game?  Were you the best-ever talking angel in the Christmas pageant? How about your skills with a slingshot, or playing tag or jumping rope or roller blade-ing?   You have talent!  And if you will turn to The Eternal Life Force, if you will embrace the ELF in YoursELF, and allow It to show you how and where to express it, your life will be much more filled with the joy you’ve intended to experience all of your life.

 

All of the choices are yours!  And the entire Universe is ready, today, to help you make your dreams come true.

 

And always remember, The ELF loves you and so do I!  

 

The Divine ATM

 

The ELF is The Eternal Life Force that has been with you since before you were born and will still be with you when you return to Spirit.  The ELF is your instant, constant, abundant Source of all supply.  Since money is the primary commodity of exchange on planet earth today, and you and I are currently enjoying the human experience together, we have access, through The ELF, to the Divine ATM – All The Money – we can ever want or need.

 

The Access Code, the pin number for making deposits and withdrawals using the Divine ATM, is consciously accepting the TRUTH of The ELF in YoursELF.  YOU ARE INTIMATELY CONNECTED TO ALL OF THE RICHES OF THE UNIVERSE!  It is the pleasure of The ELF to give you the Keys to The Kingdom!

 

Here’s how it works:

 

To make a deposit to the Divine ATM –

1) Turn your attention to your heart space

2) Breathe deeply several times until you feel centered and calm

3) Acknowledge that The ELF is always breathing you, even when you are not paying attention. Your breath serves as your access code to your own internal ELF connection.

4) Once you feel centered in The ELF in YoursELF, mentally begin to calculate all of the dollars you have received from the ELF already in your adult lifetime.  Amazing, isn’t it?  You are at least a Thousandaire and some of you are Millionaires!   Accept with joy and with renewed understanding that the ELF has already supplied you with many, many thousands of dollars, and is ready to supply you with as many more as you are willing to accept, as soon as you are willing to accept them. 

5) Feel the deep sense of gratitude that comes from realizing the receipt of such riches.

6) Allow yourself to experience the JOY of WELL-BEING!

7) Repeat this affirmation, often and with an understanding that it is the TRUTH about you.

 I AM A HEALTHY, WEALTHY CHILD OF GOD!

3) Acknowledge that The ELF is always breathing you, even when you are not paying attention. Your breath serves as your access code to your own internal ELF connection.

4) Say to The ELF – I Ask, I Seek, I Knock and I know that You hear me now. Then state your request as clearly as you can

5) Turn all responsibility for when, where and how whatever it is that you asked for will be delivered.  The ELF is now in charge of all of those details. 

6) Wait for Divine Inspiration.  You will receive information from The ELF – through a thought, a feeling, a dream or a physical message from someone else – encouraging you to take a step forward toward whatever you are seeking.  Act on it, even if it seems unrelated to your specific request.

7) Repeat this affirmation, often and with an understanding that it is the TRUTH about you.

I ASK FOR WHAT I WANT AND I RECEIVE IT.

The Birth of The ELF

Ten years ago, I discovered my purpose. It is to remind people that God loves them. From the moment of that discovery, the level of joy in my life has increased by leaps and bounds.

Part of the fun of knowing your purpose is discovering all the ways to fulfill it. I began ending my recorded phone message, signing my letters, closing my public talks and even private conversations with the words, “Always remember, God loves you, and so do I.”

It was apparently catchy. Other people began to say it too. And I found that to be really exciting. My purpose was being magnified through others. What could be more rewarding than that?

Life is full of surprises though, and after a while I realized that:
1) Not everyone believed me when I told them that God loves them.
2) Some people didn’t like to be reminded about God at all.

In fact, there are many adults who got off to such a bad start with God as children, that they really don’t want to talk about God at all.

So I asked God, “How do I remind these people, who don’t like to even hear Your name, that You love them? Is my purpose only meant for some and not others?”

The simplest of answers came: “Find another name for me instead of God”.

Wow, choose another name for God. That’s a pretty hefty assignment, but I’m not the first to try it. My friend Janet Conner, author of Writing Down Your Soul, writes a whole chapter about the hundreds of names God has been called throughout history, but none of those names were quite right for me. The name I was to choose had to be very different, because I want to reach a whole new audience of people – a new millennium audience of open-minded, open-hearted souls with great capacity to embrace the true nature of the Divine.

So I began to make a list of the most significant aspects of God. Eternal, first and foremost, God is, was and ever shall be. Life – there is no life, human or otherwise without God. “Eternal Life” was a given, but it wasn’t quite all I needed. God is energy and I wanted an action word. I tried Eternal Life Energy, Eternal Life Power, Eternal Life Charge. But I just wasn’t there yet.

So, as I always do, I took my list to my partner, my best friend, my mentor, my husband, John, and we pondered it together for a while, looking at it from different angles until he said, “The Force is with you.” Ah, Star Wars.

That was it! We both knew it instantly. The Eternal Life Force – The ELF. Of course, the ELF is right there inside of MysELF, YoursELF, HimsELF, HersELF, ItsELF and ThemSELVES. The Eternal Life Force is imbedded in everyone and every thing.

And so…The ELF was revealed. And now I’m back, with my purpose renewed, reaching out across the world to fulfill that purpose in a brand new way. I’m here to impress on you, (maybe even, nag!), in as many ways as you will allow, that the Eternal Life Force – The ELF in YoursELF – really, truly does love you and wants you to “have it all.”

In my next blog, I’m going to remind you that The ELF in YoursELF is your intimate, infinite Source of all supply. You need never worry about what you will eat, or what you will wear, or how you will live. The ELF has located the The Divine ATM (All The Money) within you and you already have the pin number/the access code to tap into it. You’ve probably just forgotten.
